When revising my essays I always focus on how to make my argument stronger. I read my paper out loud and work the improve my thesis statement and claim sentences. I want my opinions to be clearly stated in my work, so when revising I make sure they are known and easy to follow. I want to correct my ideas and make sure they make sense and flow correctly. I also look up synonyms of some words I feel I overuse to vary my essay a little bit.  I think that when I edit and re-read my essay it gets better after each read through, I tend to read my work over twice after my first draft to make sure I have all the points and corrections I want. Overall, I think my revising process helps me improve my work.
